Wines from Argentina
Argentina is the fifth largest wine producer in the world and now the largest wine exporter in South America. Before the early 90s, Argentina didn’t export their wine that much, but focused on satisfying the internal demand. Thank to the depreciation of the peso and the introduction of new and modern winemaking techniques, Argentina soon became one of the top winemakers. Malbec, the most popular argentine grape variety, is characterized by a deep, inky red purple color and intense fruity flavors with a velvety texture.
